OPM’s Benefits Administration Letter 11-104 (March 25, 2011) charges federal agencies with providing retirement financial education to their employees — early-, mid-, and late-career. The strategy must “educate Federal employees on the need for retirement savings and investment,” teach them how to plan, and show them how to calculate the savings they’ll need.
