Shawn McCoyMBA

President & Director of National Development

Shawn has 37 years of experience in financial services, starting his career at MetLife in Carrollton, Texas working with federal employees. He has held roles in management, group sales, compliance, and wholesaling, and has delivered public seminars on federal benefits, financial, and investment topics nationwide. Over the past 15 years he has personally educated more than 38,000 federal employees through workshops across the country, and collaborates with financial advisors to deepen their understanding of federal benefits. A former registered representative, he previously held Series 7, 63, 24, and 65 licenses.

Wendie Batterson

Instructor

Wendie has spent the last several years delivering federal retirement benefit presentations to agencies across the federal government, with a gift for translating complex benefit systems into easily understood learning blocks. She brings over 30 years of public speaking experience. She holds a BA in French, English and Education from Grove City College, an MA in Counseling from Ball State University, and an MA in Management — Human Resources from Webster College. She volunteers with Memories in the Making®, an Alzheimer's Association art program, and with Horseback Miracles, an equine-assisted therapy program for at-risk adolescents in Colorado.

Donna Hendrix

Instructor

Donna is a Knowledge Management and Learning & Development expert. She spent 17 years at Shell Oil Company, where she developed and implemented KM and learning strategies globally — working from The Netherlands, Calgary, and New Orleans. She served as a global consultant for Shell International Global Networks, which connected more than 40,000 employees, and developed a robust behavioral change toolkit used for knowledge sharing across the company. She has also led learning and development efforts for the New York Power Authority, Entergy, and CLECO. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership.

Nicol Ray

Marketing Manager

Nicol has spent the last 20 years working with ad agencies and print houses while running her own business. Outgoing and detail-driven, she brings the brand to life across collateral, presentations, and event materials. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington with a major in Graphic Communication.

Nick Woodward

Online Strategist

Nick has worked for over a decade crafting online and offline solutions for clients of all sizes. He leads FEBA's digital presence — website, email, and social — and is currently building out the next generation of FEBA's online platform. Outside of work he can usually be found skiing, hiking, or in one of Colorado's natural hot springs.

Tania McCoyMSA, CMA

Controller

Tania has 15 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting across multiple industries. She earned her MSA from Regis University in 2013 and her Certificate of Management Accounting shortly after. A native of Colorado, she enjoys running in her free time.
