Founder & President

With 37 years in financial services and 15+ years dedicated exclusively to federal employee benefits, Shawn brings unparalleled expertise to every briefing and consultation. He has personally educated more than 38,000 federal employees through workshops nationwide. His career began at MetLife in Carrollton, Texas, where he worked directly with federal employees navigating retirement decisions. Over the past two decades, he held roles in management, group sales, compliance, and wholesaling, building a comprehensive understanding of how federal benefits fit into retirement planning. Shawn founded Federal Employee Benefits Advocates, LLC to ensure that financial advisors and HR professionals have the expertise and tools they need to serve federal employees with credibility and confidence.

Cassie is the connective tissue between FEBA's trained advisors and the federal employees they serve. With years of experience in benefits administration and financial services support roles, she bridges the gap between the complexity of the federal benefits system and the clarity that financial professionals and federal employees need. In her day-to-day work, Cassie focuses on FEHB plan comparisons, FEGLI coverage analysis, and helping advisors translate complex federal benefit rules into clear, actionable guidance. She frequently supports agency HR offices and benefits coordinators with outreach planning and employee education events. Cassie brings patience, precision, and a genuine commitment to getting the details right — because in federal benefits, the details matter enormously.
